User creation restriction for web users
Introduction
This user guide provides detailed instructions on implementing and managing user creation restrictions within the URVA platform for Admin. These restrictions help in effectively managing active, inactive, and pending user statuses while maintaining specified limits on user creation.
User Statuses:
Active users are included in the restriction count except the inactive or not approved users.
Assumption:
If an Admin (e.g., Web user 3) has a creation limit of 300 users:
- Web user 3 can distribute a total of 300 user accounts, including those who are reporting to him. (e.g., Web user 1 and Web user 2).
Step-by-Step Guide:
Log into the URVA Platform: Access the platform as an Admin or a web user with sufficient permissions.
Navigate to User Management: Go to the Users' section where you can manage users and set creation limits.
Set User Creation Limits: Specify the maximum number of users that can be created. This limit includes all users under the specified web user and their sub-users.
Example:
If Web user 3 has a limit of 300 users, and Web user 1 and Web user 2 are sub-users, then the combined total number of users for Web user 1, Web user 2, and Web user 3 cannot exceed 300.
Managing User Status Changes
Automatic Deactivation:
If the user creation limit is reduced:- The system will randomly select deactivated users to comply with the new limit.
- This ensures that the number of active users does not exceed the specified limit.
Notifications and Alerts
To enhance user experience and ensure compliance with user creation restrictions, notifications will be provided:
a) Notification for Pending Users:
- Web (Admin) users will receive notifications regarding the list of users with pending status.
- This helps in keeping track of users who are awaiting approval or activation.
b) Notification for Not Approved Users:
- Web users will receive notifications for users who have not been approved (not active).
- This ensures that users are aware of any non-active users and can take necessary actions.
c) Enhanced Visibility of Messages:
- Messages related to user creation limits and status changes will be shown in RED color instead of yellow.
- This increases visibility and ensures that important notifications are easily noticed.
