Restrict Repeated Tasks for the Same Customer
To avoid too many follow-ups on the same customer by the same person, URVA gives you the option to restrict task creation for a contact within a specific time period.
What Does This Mean?
Once a user completes a task for a contact, they cannot do another task for that same contact for a set number of days (like 3, 5, or 7 days—whatever you decide). This helps in preventing duplicate efforts and improves customer experience.
How to Set It Up?
Go to the Activities from Admin Settings or Collection to restrict.
Click edit & Open Configuration.
Choose the Linked Collection option and then configuration.
Enable Restrict Collection. Enter the number of days you want to restrict and criteria as user. (Restriction will enabled for user creating task).
Choose "Restriction by User" – this means only the same person cannot repeat the task within that period.
Example:
If the restriction is set to 5 days, and a user performs a task for Customer A on July 1st,
→ they won’t be allowed to perform another task for Customer A until July 6th.
→ But another user can perform a task for Customer A during this time.
Important Notes:
This restriction applies only to the same user and the same customer. Others can do tasks against that customer.
It helps reduce spammy or repeated follow-ups by mistake.
This rule will apply automatically once it’s set—no extra steps required from the field user.
