Merged Field View in Forms (Activity & Collection)
URVA now supports merged field display — allowing you to combine multiple related fields (like address. text field) into a single view-only field while keeping each field editable individually.
This helps keep your forms clean and readable, especially when displaying structured data such as addresses, phone numbers, or ID details.
What You See:
On the form or Customer 360 view, multiple fields (e.g., Village, Street, Landmark, City) appear combined into a single line like:
“Sector 17, Near Plaza Market, Chandigarh"
The merged field is view-only in normal mode, making the data easier to read at a glance.
- Go to Admin Settings and open the desired Activity or Collection form.
- Click on the field you want to include in the merge.
- Enable the “Group Field” toggle for that field.
- Enter a Group Label (same for all fields to be merged).
- Set a Group Order number to define the merge sequence.
- Repeat steps 2–5 for each field you want to merge.
- Save the form to apply the changes.
How to Edit:
When you click Edit, the merged display automatically expands into the original individual fields:
Village
Street
Landmark
City
After editing, once you save, the updated values are re-merged into the single formatted line again.
Supported Field Types
You can create merged views using any of the following field types:
Text (Single Line)
Address (Single Line)
Number (Integer)
Phone
Configuration Notes (Admin Only)
This feature is form-level configurable and available in both Activity Forms and Collection Forms.
You can define:
Which fields to merge.
Merge order (e.g., Landmark → Street → City).
Optional formatting (comma-separated, newline, etc.).
The merged field is display-only and cannot be edited directly—editing is done through its source fields.
Use Cases
Display full address in one line, but store each part separately for accuracy.
Merge ID number and type into a single view for verification.
Combine multiple contact numbers or info tags for easier reading.
