Logging into URVA via Gmail SSO (Single Sign-On)

This help doc explains how registered users can securely log into the URVA platform using their Gmail account via Single Sign-On (SSO), provided their organization has enabled this feature.

Who Can Use Gmail SSO?

  • Only registered users with a Gmail address (i.e., ending with @gmail.com).

  • Your organization must have enabled Gmail SSO from the admin settings.

  • This login method is available only for existing users—new users cannot sign up via Gmail SSO.

How to Log In Using Gmail SSO

  1. Go to the URVA login page (web or app).

  2. Click on "Login with Gmail".

  3. Choose your Gmail account (must match your registered URVA email).

  4. Upon successful authentication, you’ll be logged into your organization’s URVA environment.


Backend Settings (Admin Only)

  • Admins can enable or disable Gmail SSO at the organization level from the backend configuration panel.
  • Only email IDs ending in @gmail.com will be allowed through this login route.
  • No password policies (e.g., expiry) apply to Gmail SSO logins.
  • Login will work only if:
    • Your email is already registered in URVA.
    • Gmail SSO is enabled by your organization’s admin.
  • If login fails, check:
    • Whether you’re using the correct Gmail ID.
    • Whether you're logged in from the internal browser (for mobile).
    • If your access has been revoked or disabled.
Notes

  • Gmail SSO helps eliminate the need to remember passwords and ensures secure, verified access.
  • If you face issues with login, ensure your email ID is pre-registered and Gmail SSO is enabled for your organization.
