Create View, Create & Update Hierarchy horizontal & vertical?

URVA users can create a hierarchy and map that hierarchy to the users accordingly so that they can view the data according to the hierarchy.

To create the hierarchy horizontal in bulk, Please follow the below steps:- 

  1. From the URVA home page, Click on the "Admin settings". 
  2. Click on the "Hierarchy" under the "Basics setup". 
  3. Click on the upward arrow(You can see in the right hand upper corner). 
  4. Click on the "Horizontal" and type the number of the hierarchy level as you want to create. 
  5. Click on the "Download" option to download the template. 
  6. Fill the "Hierarchy name" and "Code" in the template file.(Note- Last name and code added will become the territory name and all the level names with codes prior to them will be organization levels).
  7. "Save" the template.  Click on the "Browse for files" tab, Select the file template file and open. 
  8. Click on the "UPLOAD" option. The hierarchy will be created as required.

To create the hierarchy vertical in bulk, Please follow the below steps:- 

  1. From URVA home page, go to the Admin settings.
  2.  Click "Hierarchy" under the "Basics setup". Now, the user can "VIEW" hierarchy.
  3. Go to the " Icon" from the upper right corner to create a hierarchy in bulk
  4. Now, the upload window will appear, click on the "Vertical" checkbox and download the Template and the template will be downloaded into the excel format.
  5. Open the template and fill in the data such as Name (Name of the organization), Code ( Code of the organization), Type (type of the hierarchy, if it is Organization or territory), Parent ( code of the parent organization of the territory).
  6. After filling the data, save the file by using the Save as Type " CSV (Comma Delimited) ".
  7. Now, drag and drop or browse the file onto the upload window and click on Upload.
  8. In this way, a hierarchy will be created.

Please take note that in the template, levels designated with "Type" as "territory" will serve as the final levels, while those categorized as "organisation" will be considered as organization levels.
